Motor City Motors tonight on Discovery Channel

im watching it now... sorta... the computer is much more interesting than this show... if it wasnt in the city i would have changed it by now
 
seriously think about it.... Look at the car they put the 1000 hp engine... it was thrown together in a week.. the rear tires were the old school tread... hard as a rock and the car is STIFF as a board C'mon MAN!!... its not like they put in a chassis car... be realistic for a minute... i see plently of cars that cant take advantage of the hp under the hood and these cars have been built for years... not hating on the comments, but being REALISTIC!

I can understand the ET being off....What about the blistering 112 mph???

How fast would you being willing to go in that car.... I wouldnt want to go that fast....The hosts and their dad could only get it to go 14.50, my dad was driving when it went 12's... and he said it was crazy unstable... but once again look at the conditions... SERIOUSLY!

not wanting to argue by any means, but its funny reading, REAAALLY STUPID COMMENTS!!
 
Quite honestly the car's performance was the last thing I was worried about when watching the show. I just didn't think they did a good job of putting it(the show) together. Obviously "1000 hp" was for hype. If they can't get the year of the car right, you think they are gonna worry about minor details like that? :lol:
 
Then why build it for the drag strip??

Did they do ANY sort of tech inspection on it??

I can't imagine it met too many safety requirements most "1000 hp" cars would need anyways. It looked like a chunk of mig welded steel with a motor strapped to it.

A. Noted the 1000HP
B. Noticed the lack of burnout
C. Laughed at the MPH

I understand its for TV...But, come on...Who are they trying to fool??? Gearheads are their target....

HUGE Burnout, some footage of the car goin down the track, and a bogus ET would have been better...

Jamie, Dave and the dad said thay have never raced a car before at a track, therefore no burn out ( no line lock). didnt even know where to pull up to the lights lol!
I agree, total drama for the show and I come from a racing background too and many things annoyed me too, but its TV!!

i missed the show last night, i wanted to see it but i guess i will have to wait to see the next one.

but I'm the type that even bitches about movies using the wrong sound bits for a cars.....

So i would be here picking apart the show as well but i would still give it a chance and i will......


but what i want from you is to see pics of the ride in your avatar
