Mother fu#$er!!! Bought a used cam and its got minor rust on it...usable?

I bought a used 03 LS6 cam off of ls1tech. it came all packaged up so I left it under my bed for a month, unpacked it today to drop it in and there is a small spo on each journal where it was in the box that has some black corrosion on it. it is pretty smooth, but i can still feel it. the kid just put it in cardboard and shipped it, friggen idiot. Is it worth getting it polished out? is it even possible? or should I just go get another one?

id post one, but i already put it in. it was very fine, i ended up going at it with some 000 steel wool and wd40. it pretty much all came off, there was some slight discoloration, but it felt smooth as glass
