I have a 73 duster with a 340 the guy I bought it from didn't know anything about the motor it runs good doesn't smoke or burn oil. it runs between 50 to 60 pounds of oil pressure going down the road but only 10 or 15 at idle. And this week I was driving it down the interstate 75 and when I got off at an exit and stopped and idled the lifters rattled for a few seconds then quit. before that in the year that I have own the car 5 or 6 time when I first start it the lifters rattle. the car sat for 3 years before I bought it. Wondering if I should replace the oil pump and lifter or does it need to be rebuilt. other then that it runs good powers good. thanks for any help Ed
