MM Woodward Dream Cruise Lot Aug 21, 2010 - Spots Update 27 Paid/14 Reserved/0 Open/0 Wait List

My schedule is all over the place for WWDC. I am trying to make it out on Saturday. If I do, I'll stop by and say hi. I have to be in GR by 5pm, so if I make it out for enough time and there are any spots, I will throw down some cash and hang out with MM for a while. Otherwise it will be a very brief stop just to see everyone.

Question - Will that lot be open for just that day, or can we park there the night before?

We get the lot at 6pm on Friday. We typically hang out there that night and get a load of pizza and pop for the lot. Then we have the lot thru Sunday for those that are still moving by then.

Hmm, the band has a show on woodward the night before at the New Way. It'll be a late night but I'm thinking about paying for a spot with my DD Jeep to come hang out and party with everyone. Mornings are not fun for me though.

Ritas are good for the day after. You can show up whenever you want. It's still moves pretty well up to 10am and then it's full cruise mode. Jumping in from 11mile or coming up from 696 tend to be the best way to get to the lot.

So just let me know and we'll mark one reserved for you.

FYI - The easiest way to get in and out of the lot when the WDC traffic is in full effect is to use the Coolidge Hwy exit on 696 (1 exit west of Woodward Ave).

From Coolidge & 696, take the service drive (10 mile) east a 1/2 mile to Scotia Rd and go north (left coming from Coolidge).
Go 8/10 of a mile to Borgman Ave and go east (right).
Stay on Borgman for another 8/10 of a mile (turns into Hendrie) and you're there (MM lot will be on your left).

I will have the Forest Hills crowd out for fun again this year and Yes, Stella will be rocking the pudding shots again. :beerchug:

yeah that worked out nicely. Only problem I had was if someone was waiting outside when I came out and I didn't know whether they were from our lot or not. Maybe we should put a sign on it saying motown lot only or something :dunno:

Yeah, we did a pretty good job of policing that last year. Most people were honest when we asked if they were with our club. And we turned them away if they said 'no'. Or we can charge for use this year. As long as it doesn't get filled up, we could pay for it that way. :lol:

I will plan on being out on Woodward for Wednesday and Friday nights to collect spot fees.

Wednesday can be a free float day so if people need me to meet them out there somewhere let me know here and I'll try and figure something out. You can get me on my cell at 248-342-4350 or text me. Hanging in the 13.5 mile area.

Friday night will be at the lot after I finish Costco Shopping hahaha. So probably 8pm-10pm on Friday night.

I will be out of town on Thursday night unfortunatly but Tony or Nick will likely be available to collect so you can coordinate with them.

I would like to have everyone paid up by Friday so that we have a final list and can sell the remaining spots at a markup for our good food and entertainment hahaha.

We want two spots. I am bringing the jeep with the canopies, tables, and food. I can always park down the street after unloading. Jim will have the Camaro, and Maria's boyfriend will have the second spot.

I'll send payment via paypal tomorrow morning. Looks like I have to work mandatory OT friday night, so I'll just be bringing the '47 as it cruises well on the freeway, and the '65 takes a lot of effort to get to woodward with.
