I think everyone's afraid of the white dot issue. I may snag this from you for my shop.

Call Samsung, they had a class action lawsuit regarding this very issue. They will send someone to your home and replace the chip causing the white dots. A good friend had this done about a month or so ago.

The class action lawsuit alleges a defect that may cause the television to experience symptoms such as not turning on, experiencing a delay in turning on, making a clicking sound, cycling on and off, or other similar problems. Samsung denies the allegations in the lawsuit, but has agreed to settle the lawsuit to avoid the costs and uncertainty of continued litigation.

I got the same tv and just had that repair done.... Samsung won't cover any picrure problems.

Got your PM, I'm gonna try giving Samsung's tech support a ring and see what they say about fixing it. If they won't fix it, I'll get back to you.
