I have a 50" Samsung DLP that needs a "chip" replaced. The tv works but there are white spots on the image. This was a common problem with this specific model TV that Samsung recognized. They will cover the cost of the chip you just have to pay the labor. I called Samsung when I first got the tv (month or two ago), gave them the model number and they confirmed that they will cover the chip cost but I had to pay the labor cost ($100-$200). They wont give me the chip and let me do the install.
I was going to repair the tv but I already have a nice Samsung plasma that I rarely use, so this would be a waste of money for me.
It has HDMI inputs and is 1080p, no remote. Still has a bright picture too.
Im out of town until Friday but when I return I will confirm the size and get a picture up. Asking $100.
Model number: hlt5076sx/xaa
The tv looks similar to this
