Seriously - people pull crap like that all the time.
I assume your deductible is $500+.. Just pay it out of pocket and send her the bill so it doesn't end up on CarFax to say nothing of getting hit with a rate increate by your insurance company.
If she doesn't pay you can make a stink about it and go the small claims route.
