Mini-Tort claims & vehicle's value

Instead of hijacking Jeremy's "Default Anyone ever make a Mini-tort claim to cover deductible?" thread, figured I'd open a new one to a different yet similar topic.

Searching yielded nothing to answer the question and mostly only returned the claim processes.

Does a mini-tort have any impact on vehicle's value? Can it render a vehicle a "total loss" or mandate a rebuilt title for re-issue (with inspection process) ?

Will a vin report (carfax) show the claim? Show the value of damage proposed?

How in depth does such a claim go? If the claim is deadheaded once the check is issued/cashed, I wonder how many vehicles are listed on the market were involved with a mini-tort claim?

As far as I know. NO.

typically, the Court doesn't even know the vehicle VIN, if it did, I have no idea how a "carfax" or anything like that would search for the VIN through the court records. They would have to look at every single lawsuit and scour the court file for a vin. I highly doubt that would happen.
It is NOT reported to the secretary of state. (only traffic violations).

I would have thought the collision quote would link a claim and draw attention to the mini-tort reporting.
