Milan Dragway Has Been Sold?

I wonder if there is a big liability underneath Milan for groundwater? I remember going there for a Lolopalooza show in the late 90's, and the water was undrinkable - it tasted like gasoline. It would suck to have someone buy that place, and then have it shut down as an EPA Superfund site or something...

They ran Sat & Sun last weekend and last Wednesday night. They know they are day to day depending on how the court case goes. Am told the MX track owners have a plan B (alternate site) if needed. According to the court docket they are represented in court (along with about 100 other people). A lot of lawyers buying BMWs after this is over.
OK gotcha Thanks

Cliff notes anyone? I click both links and it says no content.

They were fighting over who the receiver should be. Gold tried to bring up a buyer again and the judge said it has to go through the Receiver. There is about 2.45 Million owed to the 3 secured creditors. Unknown how much is owed to the unsecured creditors.

Judge decided on a lawyer receiver over the real estate receiver proposed by one of the creditors.

If I missed anything at the end, I got a phone call and couldn't replay the last couple minutes.

Thank you sir. So hopefully the receiver deals with a good buyer for the track and quickly.

That's just naturally occurring hydrogen sulfide. Most households with that issue utilize a chlorine-injection water softener to eliminate the smell/taste, but a large facility like that wouldn't bother to.

I was at that show.

I liked hearing that Kalitta was interested ... and that everyone interested was interested in keeping it open ...
could you Imagine (condo) garages there like at M1

I personally think the condos are a horrible idea. I am in favor of Kalitta buying it though. He’s got the cash to redo the whole place this year. Plus I like that they grew up with my dad here.

How come? I like the idea.

Exactly... although not in my budget ... with garage condos there .. it would mean more people there on a regular basis .. more people there ... better maintenance on the facility and grounds...
300 condos paying say 2500 a year in association fees could probably have it open 7 days a week ....
do the math on the fuel alone towing a car out there ...

Just have a storage unit at track….thats what they are doing at exit 222 for orv vehicles right at trailhead
