Mike Ilitch just died?

I was just talking to a friend & his wife, who works for
a Mike Ilitch company said he just died.

Anybody else hearing anything about this? Its not on
the news, I think it may have just happened?

The guy was 87 and extremely sick....He lived a good life....We should all be so lucky.

He did great things for the Detroit sports world. He will surely be missed! Too bad he never seen his Tigers win or the Wings play in his new hockey arena.

He did good things for Detroit sports but not the city of Detroit.....

But he was a dad, husband, grandpa, etc... He's is in a better place....God speed.

I have a lot of great memories that are directly related to actions he took with Detroit Sports Teams. Some those memories go back to the early 80's going to the Wings games with my dad and recently taking my son to Tigers and Wings games. Thank you for all the good times. RIP.

A good friend of mine used to work for him and said both he and his wife were approachable and friendly. They lived way beneath their means.
