Mig Welding Gas

Looking for a 75 25 mig welding tank full of gas. I have a tank that I don't believe a gas place will fill. Looking for a tank that already had gas in it.

Thanks,

Ray

Watch Craigslist, that's the only place I buy tanks. Buy expired, then pay to get them filled and recertified.

I have a tank I bought a few years ago on Craigslist. It was full at the time and the previous owner was not sure if anyone would refill it. It does not have any name on the top ring. Any suggestions on where to take it?

Wow. Last time I had an expired tank it was 10 bucks extra to swap it. That was just last year.

Unless the tank you have is an industrial size, any welding supply should swap it. I go to airgas because there's one right across from my work.

Mine has a sticker on it from a gas company in Virginia. Do they care about that when you exchange them.

It also has 08 +* on it which if I reasearched correctly means it is still good until 2018???

I just took it to another place down the street and they just took it without any issues. I think it was $60 for the new one on exchange

Just stopped at Airgas yesterday to fill a small bottle for a buddy. $40.45 because the tank was expired and $47.39 for a new filled bottle (small, 14.238 lbs)...oh, and don't forget the $5.35 "Hazmat Charge".

Maybe I'm out of touch, but it all seemed a bit steep to me.

The old tank couldn't have been recertified? Just about 100.00 for a small tank + fill does seem nuts.

and usually they don't care about the name on the ring, as far as I know they all end up going back to where ever the tank came from, if still in business
