How much more power can the mexican blocks hold?? :headscrat
If I could afford an aftermarket block i'd already have one. I have access to a few mexican blocks. Thats why I was asking.

Switching to a windsor could also be a good option, if you don't have any worthy parts on your 302. If I could switch simply by dropping in a 351 I would, but I've got quite a bit invested in intakes and heads, etc than it would be worth to switch over....
I just saw your in Bellevlle, I'm right near there, rather the engine is, if you'd like to see it up close let me know.
My Dad lives in New Boston, I do all of my work in his shop....
Sounds about right on the 351 build....I thought about it too, but what I've got in heads and intakes, etc for my 302 I'd be stupid to try and switch over....I like the 302, its fine with me, but it'd be nice to have a Dart block or something super beefcake!
I like having a 302 based motor too. But I must say, I would rather have a windsor built the same way as my 331. It would be much faster and the block would be more durable. Some day hopefully i will be able to do that.
I go out to New Boston often. I get race gas from chapps and I go to apple charlie's alot in the fall. My parents live on hannan which is where I keep my car so its not far. Maybe I'll come check your beast out one day. I work afternoons though so it would have to be on the weekend.

Heads are the same, but the intake goes on the heads, therefore a new intake is a given.
Don't forget about a new distributor.
Hop on racing junk and look for a dart block used. They pop up all the time. Or a world or a A4 etc.
Hey QuickStang.. Does your dad want to sell one of those Mexican blocks?
I have been looking for one.
Thanks
