Ok,
Right now im saving my $$ for a On3Performance turbo kit for my car and was talking to a buddy thats a Turbo nut with a TON of exp with them..Told him what im doing ect... and planned on getting a tune when the car is finished but wanna change a few things down the road but not all at once so I know i'll need a tune a few more times..He told me to skip the tune and get a Megasquirt that hooks into my stock computer so I can do it myself, said its under $500.00 for the one I need..He moved from Mi to Tenn so its hard to contact him, sent a Facebook message but not sure when i'll get a reply..Pretty much looking to see if anyone here can post a link for which one I need? All I need is the Turbo kit,WideBand and Megasquirt so I can laptop tune the car..I looked and have no flippin clue which one I need so if someone can link me to it,that would be awesome...Thanks guys..

Google it. Mustang turbo megasquirt. Also think about meth injection so you can run pump gas.

Mike,
I did google it but got a few different ones..Rich is the one that told me about it but hasn't gotton back with me yet..I already have $500.00 put away so thinking about getting it now..The car is N/A now and as you know, already has a shit load done but no tune so I can start playing with the tune and some what learn a little...He also told me about meth injection but I wanna get the main parts and get her running with safe tune first...
Should be a fun car when im done :) ..

Thanks so much guys...Now I need to make my mind up on which one to get...My buddy said theres one under $500.00 that will work but im biting the bullet and getting this one http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/megasquirtpnp-g2-eec4a8-for-8693-ford-mustang-50-p-524.html ..
In a way,it just makes sense because i'll save ALOT of money and heres why..
After the turbo build is done and running,I planned on getting a MSD ignition that has Rev-limiter with 2-step,timing retard ect... which will cost just as much as the Megasquirt Standalone...I mean it comes with everything I want and i'll save a TON of money..Will take another 2 weeks of saving money but well worth it..
Don't have to get a ignition box or anything, just plug it in and set it all up...Glad my buddy told me about this but REALLY happy you guys posted the link...Goin to have alot of fun at the track this summer :) ..

if you've never played with turbos and tuning before..make sure you read up before you go buying just anything. if your buddy can tune then you should be golden. may take a little while to learn yourself if not.

Watch out on those msd boxes they are junk also so are the coils my brand new box and coil was killing my car on the dyno unpluged the box and bam 25 more hp to tire put a stock motorcraft coil on it bam another 19hp I was very pissed about it only reason I knew because my car was down on power from the year before with the same setup except I put the box on it

I have but never tuned one..Yeah,someone I know tunes his own car so I have nothing to worry about, just learning myself will be the problem like you said..Im sure he will teach me and i'll watch like a hawk when he does mine...

Thats odd because I have always had nothing but good luck with all my MSD stuff and had ALOT..On this car,im useing the stock ignition with aftermarket coil, rotor and cap..

I may be a little late to the show on this one.

But, I have the megasquirt PNP2 on my car. Well worth the extra money over trying to build it yourself in my opinion. The megatune software is simple to use and they have awesome customer support. I would recommend just getting the paid version of the software. The free version works fine. But for $80 it is well worth it in my opinion. I haven't had the car on a dyno yet so I was tuning on the street. The autotune feature in the paid software makes tuning on the street much simpler.
