What's the process to obtain a medical marijuana card?
I'm trying to help someone I love who is in his 70s and suffering from debilitating pain which narcotics aren't helping. He cannot smoke given he's an asthmatic and doesn't want to be high as his mind is all he has left. Maybe CBD pills or edibles could help?

My wife is trying to help one of our friends older parents. Definitely look into CBD oil.

different strains do different things.... some one at a dispensary would be able to help you the most, I dont think you can say its for someone else, and you need a card to step foot inside.

This. Aside from that, edibles are a very good way to consume. You're not inhaling burning plant material for one, and two, it's easier to control the dosage. Your friend could eat a small portion of some sort of infused snack and it would help him a good deal without getting him fried out of his mind.
 
Thanks guys. His caregiver met with someone earlier tonight and got started with the paperwork and they think everything will be in order by Sunday.
 
When I was in Oregon earlier this year I stopped in at a shop to get a topical spray for my wife who has MS. She has very bad neuropathy in her feet and hands, she said the spray worked better than anything else she's ever tried.
 
CBD oil can be bought without a MM card. Edibles are good as well but watch out, they'll creep up on you and all of a sudden you're higher than you've ever been.

The jury is out on that. I called three places the other day and one said a card wasn't needed (they were out of stock unfortunately) - the other two places said a card was needed. Not sure if one had a tiny bit of THC and that's why a card was needed or if maybe they were just trying to be extra careful.

He's an asthmatic and can't be around smoke of any kind. If he could smoke things would be simplified given how easy it is to find loose pot.
 
They make some CBD drops that are awesome. My mom has MS and has quit using all opioids and now only uses CBD for pain. I know a few others that get migraines and stopped opioids for treating them.

Technically they can do it here too.
According to the feds you can't own a firearm if you're under the influence of psychoactive drugs.
I personally don't think anyone under the influence of medical marijuana is more likely to shoot anyone than someone who isn't.

Ding Ding Ding... Until the Feds make it legal(finding a way to tax it)... It's going to stay illegal...
