I know there was the CTF car in Oshawa that lost the front facia, but this Camaro was 20 hours old according to the post on www.5thgen.org

Car was 20 hours old, driver got rear-ended by a kid with no insurance... and no drivers license...

That car got hit HARD.

Looks like the passenger cabin maintained it's integrity, you can see the curtain airbags deployed.

That's kinda hard to look at. :(

can you say crumple zone... hopefully the guy had ins. on the camero and didnt buy it like the hood rats... the kid that hit him is pretty much fucked

Nice to see the safe system did it's job (Side airbags and crumple zone).

I agree, great side airbags, look like it took the hit fairly well. Sucks for the car/owner but seems he was ok.

That sucks.

My friend was the first person in the US to crash an STi back in 2003. The car had less than 1200 miles on it when he left Massachusetts to drive to Watkins Glen. In his last on-track session, he pushed it a little harder than he should have and put the car face-first into the armco. $18k in damage. Here it is after I gave it some Grand Sport stripes. Somewhere I have a picture of him wearing the airbag for a hat. He wasn't very happy about the whole thing but I did my best to lighten the mood.

I like the Grand Sport look :haha:

I found the other pics. This car was only a couple of weeks old. He had a helluva time getting parts because there were only a few cars in the country at this point. After it was rebuilt, he put in a cage and a few turbo/exhaust/computer mods and it made somewhere around 450awhp. This car was SICK!

The ultimately met its death a few years later after he sold it to a kid in Minnesota who totaled it in a 30-something car pile-up in a white-out snowstorm.
