this crap will install itself. Anybody else have car stuff needing to be done which they'd rather not have to do?

Get a couple of your buddys over, a few pizzas and some beers/pop and make a weekend of it.....those are so easy anway, having someone over hanging and working on it always helped me with motivation.

Yeah, I'm not too worried about it, I'll spend some time with the old man and put it in with him. I think I'll get a tranny jack though because I don't feel like holding up that damn 3550 while on my back. I was spoiled being able to use the auto hobby shop at the base but I can't do that anymore now that I moved. I hope this gets rid of the drivetrain vibration I've been having with the used parts I had previously in the car. It was RPM based so I hope this fixes it, plus the clutch in there now is slipping like crazy.

I've had to pull the trans out of my 98 Ram 4x4 for about 3 weeks now. Just can't seem to get the motivation to do it. The bitch is, the trans is fine, the converter is whats f*cked. I guess I'll go through the trans while it's out. So in the meantime I'm rocking a sweet 99 neon. I know you're all jealous.

lol i went through the same thing with my truck...

had all of the airride parts, new rims, new front grill and bumper, leather seats, billet steering wheel just sitting there

it all just sat in the garage all winter up until... ooh last week lol

now the airride is half done and should be wrapped up by the end of the week. Im excited

Same Dealio here. I have alot of suspension components to change in my car right now, and i know the springs are gonna be a mofo on the front. I keep looking at the pile of parts and goin...yep next weekend, and that was a month ago

haha my trans has been sitting on the floor for a month.
not strong enough to slide it back in by myself

I have two cars I need to put back together and believe me, I'd rather not do any of it.

I've needed to do a clutch on my daily driver for a while now and I'm really dreading it for some reason. I hate working on the FWD stuff.

yep, since my car is going to sit all year i sold all the parts that i had to go on it (clutch, bellhousing, flywheel, miscs crap). didnt want to take the time to install them just to have it sit all year.

Ive had an exhaust leak for 2 months now... pretty sure its a 20 minute fix i just never feel like getting it up on jacks.

AMEN!!!

I have a trans, driveshaft, complete rear, clutch, fly, lower control arms, subframes, and a cage.

ALOT of work to do and literally no time to do it...
I feel ya man!!

I have a pile of parts for both my cars (Camaro & winter truck) that needs to go on. Just haven't been overly motivated. I NEED to get that going this weekend so the Camaro is done by the end of the month for a bunch of carshows.... I know once I get started I will get it done. Just hate taking it off the road. It's so much fun to drive!

Let's see. Blazer: rotor, cap, wires, ball joint

Camaro: front wheel bearings, lowering springs, front brakes, carpet, gauge pillar wiring, shiftlight wiring, stealthbox wiring, export taillights, spark plugs. I think I need LCA relocation brackets and shorter sway bar links when I do the lowering springs too. Oh boy, more $$ to spend. It never ends.

youre tellin me, Ive got a zr1 brake set to go on the GN, H/C/I for the Lincoln, Mustang Rear end Gears and spark plugs that have been staring at me...not looking forward to the install

I feel that way. I have polyurethane diff bushings for my 04 and a BF diff cover brace. I don't have wheel hop so the bushings might just sit and sit for ever, (waste of 49.99). The BF brace needs to go on for cheap insurance of exploding the diff cover, but I don't even feel like messing with it. I'm not hard on launches or corners so that's why I don't want to mess with it.
