Mark Martin doesn't join the traitors

toyota's entrance into NASCAR will accelerate their move to dominate selling in America and worsen our negative balance of trade #s for the 30th year in a row. They did force the Big 3 to make better quality cars, but I resent their tv commercials trying to hoodwink America that they are as American as we are.

John, I hope your future won't include any business meetings which begin with bows.

Maybe if the big three would built cars people want to buy they wouldn't have to worry about the Japanese taking more market share. They are a hell of a lot more American then say the Germans.

If Toyota offered me a ride I'd take it with bells on, for now I'll race Corvettes

Give me the good old days when they were based on stock cars. back when you would get talladega torinos from the dealer or daytona/superbird cars. The days when they had to sell what they raced.

Don't see many V8 Tauruses on the road either. Up until the past year or so you didn't see many V8 Monte Carlos, and I don't recall any V8 Intrepids either. :dontknow:

Toyota, as much as I want to hate on them, I have to keep in mind I might be working there some day.

One of the guys in my department just left to go to Toyota, and they still have another job posted. He says it suck there - everyone is super competetive and there is no comraderie. he got a huge raise, though, so I guess he is happy.

Ah yes the 6.1L hemi. An engine that has never seen a race track. Nor a manual transmission:Yawn: :icon_mrgr

nastycar uses old tech engines. The other "beef" that I have with chrysler is "the demografics for the buyer of a new charger(25 to 35yo) arent old enough to remember the old charger so a 4 door doesent matter."

Hello? Dident we grow up with a TV show called "the Dukes of hazard"? Hell, at that time I thought all chargers should be painted orange with a big rebel flag painted on top.
