agreed, you should take the test before that thing moves again.

BAD-ASS truck though. that thing would be fun as hell to drive.

yeah they will tell us at the DMV today if a test or CDL is required but Mark said the GVWR is under 26,000 therefore no CDL needed. idk..

I can pass the test anyhow. lol

That thing is going to be a blast!

It goes by axle ratings, the truck is obviously not 26k lbs. But the axles are probally rated close to 26k lbs - especially with air brakes. You could put a 'not-for-hire' sticker on the door, but if MDOT wanted to throw the book at you for not having it DOT'd and the driver not having a CDL + air brake endorsement, i'm sure they can. It's a grey area cause it once was a commercial truck. You might be ok though

Very cool truck

you know that scene in ace ventura where he grabs the monster truck and just runs over everything plowing though the forest!?

yeah, that would be you

if it has air brakes, no matter what it is you need the take the test.

On a side note. what can you really do with a truck that size other then drive it? Cant use the bed for much

you should be fine it should be titled as a rec veh you dont need anything special.as far as the brakes it should have manual i dont think it is big enough for air,it prolly has an allison auto trans no park just an e-brake,it could have air brakes cant tell by looking at it,or electric brakes.
anyway cool toy

It has roughly a 200lb Propane tank in the bed. If I remember correctly it gets something like 300 miles/tank. For a big truck it sure moves along better than I thought it would.

Edit -- When I looked at the brake system it has Hydroboost but no air.
