M11

Yes we had some top-end traction problems...found that the left rear shock had rattled itself to zero while the right side was at the 4 that it should have been at. Made for a few interesting passes. Fixed it for last pass and sent a rod through the block around the 1000' mark. And then almost wrecked again driving on my oil...but all is well.

The top end was very scary this time at Stanton once the sun got on it. In the AM my car was on a rail in the right lane and I did have one ok pass in the left but that track crowns too much for small tire cars. Sorry to hear about your motor Sean but you'll get it together for next season.:peelout:

I thought my windage tray covered everything.?

are those eagle rods?
Eagles with L19. Looks like the stock oiling system just wasn't up to the task at least that pass.

i got to see ltlhomer blow his stuff up close and personal, i was in the staging lanes right behind him and was in the burn out box when all i seen was blue smoke and a blue blur going places it shouldnt. sorry to hear you spit your motor out! but i had fun for the most part, 13.8@105 in the ol slowbalt but running a bad clutch and 500-600lbs of bottle pressure :( i have 30 something minutes of video ip uploading now.

That sucks homer, but you'll build a better stronger one. Do you know if anything else got fubar'd because of it besides the block and rod(s)?

That sucks, but sounds like it could have been much worse. Must've been some good driving to keep it straight! Congrats on the 8 second pass though. 161MPH is haulin.

No doubt about it. LTLHOMER can drive. I stood on the starting line and saw his driver's side door as he crossed the finish line twice.
Hopefully we'll get the handling issue straightened out. I'm running out of clean shorts. :icon_eek:

A parachute and wing are probably going to be on the Christmas list this year. :icon_mrgr
And how he kept the car off the wall on a 9.0 pass that soaked his back tires with oil we'll never know because the smoke was so thick that we couldn't even see the car for a few minutes. I got covered in oil hooking up the tow straps to the front wheels, too. Oil was everywhere, including his decklid, taillights, license plate, etc., Now, THAT was scary. :eek2:
