LT1 EGR system delete

Sean = LT1 guru. You will proabbly need a quick tune, too.

Yeah we figured that much. It's getting a cam, ported heads, Mid length headers, so figured might as well rip off the EGR system. I was actually hoping sean would drop in for a line or two

Rip it off and stab a block off plate on it. We can easily adress the code problems with an off road reflash.

I'm likin the sound of where this weekend is going. Lemme know when you need the klumppmonkey over for whatever. :rockwoot:

Ok, on this pic the EGR system is on the right, what is the system on the left and can that be torn off too? I'm having a brain fart here but it goes all the way to the front of the block and attaches to a big junction box.

Yes you must use block off plates for both.

1) where to you get the block off plates?

2) I'm good to rip all that shit off? Just plug up other random holes, including headers?

3) What about the air pump? I can rip the thing off and get a smaller serp. belt?

1. Summit should have the block off plate.

2. Yes feel free

3. The Air pump is electric unplug and remove.

I have had one of these sitting in the bottom of my toolbox for 5 years or so. You can have it if you want it. I doubt I'll ever own another LT1 powered car.
