New slugs from diamond

Looks like the thin slice of material left sticking up on the edge of the valve pocket got hot and lit itself off. Then the slug proceeded to lift the ring land and pinch the second ring due to shrinkage. Once it shrunk it let oil up and detonated breaking the lower ring land with shock loading.

Piston design flaw. Happens to BBC pistons constantly when they don't get the ring stack correct.

these are the only other pics i have. Plugs didnt have any detonation on them or timing marks.

I have ADD, so I can't read the entire thread from the last place I left off. What was determined to be the cause? Tune, Piston design, Foreign metal?

Seems to be a piston design flaw. Of course the piston mfg doesn't agree but from what I've gathered and some insight from people that know their stuff they agree, if there was slight detonation is was after oil got by the rings imo.

What did the Piston Mfg. say happened????

Where did all that oil come from IN the inlet???
