LS6 intake.....

How do you know the difference from the ls1? I was told by someone today that my intake was an ls6?
 
ls6 dont have an egr port on top right behind the tb. BUTTTTT... some ls1 intakes did not either<vettes. part number or the bottom of the intake is flat on a ls6 unlike an ls1 which is curved
 
Ok, the intake is still on the car so i have no ideawhthe bottom looks like, but maybe i can look up the part # Thanks!

Since it looks like you've got an ls1 intake w/egr, pull the egr tube out and cut off the portion that sticks into the intake. Its a free mod, if it hasn't been done already.

check the numbers. the ls6 intakes SLP sold came with egr ports. That could be an slp with the port blocked off
 
97-00 C5's had LS1 intakes WITHOUT the EGR port, as C5's do not have EGR valves. However, you can clearly see the plug on that one.

No Chevy motor for me - got a sbf going together as we speak :cheers:
