Will they bolt right up to a 1999 Trans Am? I have a buddy willing to sell me his stock LS2 flywheel with 2000 miles on it and then I'd need to find an LS7 clutch. I heard the combo feels nearly stock and will give way more holding pressure then my factory LS1 setup.
I know Mike94ZLT1 had an LS7 clutch on this 99 FRC. There was something about a 0.080" shim... maybe the LS2 flywheel doesn't need it. Might want to double check.
Thanks for the info. I'll have to check into that. I talked to Tony (HuggerZ) and he said even pushing nearly 600hp at the crank the LS2/LS7 combo is holding up great. Even with his wide rear tires the only issue is traction.
Get a bit of heat in that clutch and it does not work so well.Textrilla make something based on the ls7 clutch. Stock feel but more clamp pressure and a slightly more aggresive friction material.
