LS1 Notch, dyno strap breaks

You can do simulated 1/4 mile runs on a dyno and from what I heard its kind of accurate. Horrible idea to shock it that hard though.
 
Just seems like a bad idea. I've setup a dyno and know how heavy those drums are. Id also use more straps. I dyno'd a car that made 700+ to the tires and it needed 6 straps to keep from spinning and trying to climb the rollers.
 
The car was too far forward on the rolls and caught the pavement...looks like that's what broke the strap. I've done the 1/4 on the dyno before and didn't like the experience at all. Just seemed like bad things could happen.
 
Wow, that would be scary. The strap broke yeah, but the shock of a clutch dump and shifting into second while spinning the tires....what an idiot. Someone could have gotten killed.
