I have heard that the old YT's caused valve float. I was leaning toward the Harland Sharps....But now YT has some new lightweight pieces out there. Who has experience with them? Are they better? I've heard that the old ones had shimming problems.....How about the new ones? I'm making a decision in the next couple of days so your help is appreciated!!! (LS1 application)

I had HS's on my car for 400 miles. It wouldn't rev over 5000 due to float.

unless running solid roller, TFS heads or something the stock or HS modified stockers seem to be the best

stock. if I ever swtich it will be to HS modified stockers haha.

X2

I have plenty of 800hp cars running stockers. I also have had plenty of agravation with EVERY aftermarket rocker available. Like Larry said, unless you are forced to run something roller/adjustable stick with stock or HS modded stockers

Thanks guys..... I guess I don't need to throw my money away! Is the "HS modified rocker kit" from Summit the right piece? (Around $260) They make it sound like a kit you install on your current rockers......????

hmm. I though HS was the only one modifing them. Nasty perf says they do them but they just send them to HS

you have to send them, if you want to check out the lightweight yella terra's the Dearborn Detroit speed shops carries them, we could send them to roseville for you. They seem to be about the same tip weight as stock but are full roller

I was thinking they might be the ticket, but I'm looking to hear from someone that has used them.

Thanks for the info! Roseville is definitely the closest to me. What's the damage from you guys....New Era supposedly has them for $380 to LS1 Tech members.... But I still wouldn't be interested in them if they float at high RPM's....

hmm that link would be nice if summit had a pic

yeah, that's why I asked the question. The shipping date makes me wonder if they ship modded pieces or make you ship yours in? I have an extra set to send if I need to, but they are the first gen. Does it matter? or do they mod them all equally?

you can get one's that have been modded. I think you have to pay a core charge though
all ls1, ls6 ls2's are the same I beleive

Well, I have a *few* sets of the lightweight yella terra's :D so far great feed back, but I will see if I can dig up any emails from customers using them, I am sure I could do that price if we aren't already right there

What do they cost?

I have three or four sets of stockers sitting around in the garage, somewhere. Need to get better bolts than the stock ones though.

I'm interested in all the info you can dig up!

Thanks!

Get the modified Stockers. No other rocker arm on the market gets close to its overall moment of inertia.I have seen to many issues with running a stiff spring and lifter colapse with aftermarket rockers to recomend against using them.

All of my emails have been weeded out, but I do have a few customers hitting 7400 w/ them quite often, 0 failures that I have been notified of. On the other hand, I just had a customer order new cam, heads, and rockers today because he had 3 bearings come out of a set of HS modified rockers
