ls1 mass air meter

so i was trouble shooting my car when i found out my mass air meter is bad then i went to unplug it and pulled all five wires out of the plug itself so if some one could post up a pic of there plug that would be great or get me a wiring diagram would work to thanks mike
 
I bet the MAF is fine. Most likely the wiring is the problem. PM duke. He knows that harnes inside and out.
 
so i changed the meter found a pic of another plug and still runs like shit until i unplug it? this is becoming a serious money pit lately

Hmmm. get with me over the weekend. Could be smoething like a large vaccum leak cuasing the problem.
 
that's what you get when you try to mix oil & water... :)

ok so i found the wiring diagram on line for the maf plug,fixed that the car still runs like shit its poppin out of the air filter a lil bit aswell if i unplug it it runs if i plug it in it stalls,checked the vacums,sprayed either around the intake to see if i could spot a leak no changes in the rpm at all checked the wiring in the loom, looked good to me what about a ground strap to the motor from the body?car is all solid mounts it seems like this wouldnt matter?
 
Check the back of the engine and make sure the Camshaft position sensor is plugged in. If you say it is popping.

anyway you can bring the car out here ? Most likely it is a simple problem.

ok ill check that.yes i can bring it just have to put new lights on my trailer
 
ok so i was gonna put it on the trailer this mornin and wont start at all now ran a scan last night when it was still running and it said map sensor error and low maf signal.is it ok if i bring it tommorow mornin sean?

Sure drop it by. sure sound like it has lost a ground connection somwhere.
 
she's alive

So the fuel pump had a short in it,put a new one in and she runs like a champ again,but I want to say thanks to sean for offering to fix the car for me when I was ready 2 set it on fire.lol
