theres a 2004 6.0 van at my work that is haveing a issue. the oil is comeing out the dip stick tube.some say ring, othe pcv valve witch i dont think it has. anyone know whats going on or have a clue what to check
thanks for any help

Definitely crankcase pressure, and the engine does have a PCV valve. IIRC, it's on the rear side of the LH valve cover...What's the oil look like? Black, brownish milky? What's the oil level?

2004 probably has a fixed orifice pcv system, but the orifice should be cleaned first with those symptoms, if you have a fixed orifice, the "pcv" valve with have a strap across the top that is rivited to the valve cover

^This for sure

i used to work with a guy that had a turbo chevette i think it was it was doing the samething, he didnt want to tear down the engine to replace the rings so he drilled a hole in the oil pan put a hose from the dipstick down to the oil pan so the oil circulate, talk about trashy thing to do
