Lost the keys to my 2002 mustang gt! Now what?

Do you have a tune? You could ask your tuner to adjust your tune and turn off the PATS...

Never thaught about that avenue. But I have a locksmith working on the problem as I type. I think ill be looking into turning off the pats an make a few extras for safe keeping. Thank you all for your help!!!

I found a Chrysler guy that programs keys for $20 once you have them cut, think the vehicle has to be older than 2012 though

I just saw this and I'm hoping you have it figured out already. I lost the key to my 1996 Mustang. First years of PATS and a serious pain to sort out. I don't remember the cost but not cheap. At some point you'll pay anything to get your keys back though. Lol. Hope it works out.

I paid the $147 for the new key. Then a coworker found the one I lost 6 days later in the bottom of a box . The new key was programmed to the old code so atleast I have a spare now.

Well there ya go. Isn't that the way. Lol

FWIW, I never did find my original later. That was a first.
