Lost my best friend friday (Boxer goodness inside)

:( Sorry to hear about your girl. We have two boxers ourselves. Our female is 8 and is starting to slow down a little bit. I've had dogs my entire life and she is the best dog I could ever imagine. When that time comes I'm going to be a mess and my wife is going to be destroyed.

We also recently adopted a 2 year old male... and while he is an extremely sweet dog, he is well... not smart. LOL. Sweet, loyal, protective, gentle with the kids... but dumb as a box of rocks. He tests me sometimes. LOL. Be prepared. Your male boxer is going to be a whole different experience.

You have given out too much Reputation in the last 24 hours, try again late

Thanks for all the kind words. I will say having the new dog is making it a bit easier, i'm too busy chasing him around to think about the passing of sassy...lol.

I will say though, initially he seems faster to adapt and took to the kennel way easier than the last one. I have high hopes after reading it seems the males are easier to train, but i won't put the cart befor the horse just yet. Being 5 weeks old, we have a long road ahead of us.(the breeder wasn't honest about age up front, but i couldn't leave the dog there, it wasn't a clean environment and i felt bad for him) But we got our last one at 5 weeks, and she was fantastic.

Again, thank you all for the support and kind words. I think we need a dogs/pet section!

Sorry about Sassy :( But congrats on Luke.
As Mike said, there's a difference between raising a male compared to a female. Males are more challenging because, well, they're males and you know how us males are lol.
