Day 4 and he is eating and making noise again. Looks like he is gonna pull through. The wound on his back under his wing and back of his neck is looking better and he is opening his eye again. He's a good looking duck. Very nice colors. Kids are very happy :icon_smil

I have spotted one twice this size. Last night something reached in the trap from the side and got some of the food. There was also coon prints on my trash can lid this morning from last nights rain so I am still looking for this guy's accomplice............

As someone who raised a ton of mallards as a kid I'm glad to see he's doing better that would completely piss me off!
