Picked up a 56 ford customline about 2 years ago, spent the summer building it with what ever was laying around (351W brother in law rebuilt, ranger 5 speed, and about $2k worth of go-goodies from King auto). After I got her puttering down the road my buddy told me he was selling or swapping his 59 edsel ranger to buy a DD. He is king of bad deals so I gave him $2k down and arranged payments for the remainder of the money. Well after a few months of making payments on the thing our other friend offered to trade me two turbo DSMs for the customline. My friend that I owed the money to liked the DSMs so another round of trades took place leaving me debt and customline free...
Now after a year of this my friend who owns the customline is in a spot and offered her up for sale; so it looks like shes comming back home!
So here are her build pics from when I was dragging her home (parents were headed upnorth at the time so they got an action shot) to her as shown at the packard proving grounds show last summer.

I was gonna ask you what happened to this car. When did you have it up at my shop? I must've missed it. Looks awesome!!!!!

Thanks bud!
It was up there right before the packard car show last year. Actuallly that was one of the only times I had it out on the road before getting rid of it (other than to work and back <1 mile each way).

I gotta say I think this is the right climate for her, she looks too good sitting on the beach

might just have to submit this to the tourism bureau

Bad day beach side beats any good day in the shop!
The riv is a big block survivor; grand dad bought it new, kept it in a garage the few years it was here, drove it down to Florida where it mostly sat till last year when he was cutting down on the number of shops he rents so he sent it back up here with the 25 dodge for my uncle and father respectively...
Basically my uncle will be picking up the riv next week and moving it to his garage where it will sit till he dies and I take it!

Did a new piece on her dash
