Parenting Isn’t for Wimps….

What a blessing!!!

It is all pretty much true what everyone says about
having the second child.

1) “It is much easer the second time around” The first child born,
we were scared spitless! After 2 ½ days they we throwing us out
of the hospital – we didn’t want to leave….we needed HELP!

By the second child, we packed our bags and left at the minimum
of 24 hours…..we couldn’t wait to get out of that hospital & go home!

2) “Your first born child will act up & regress a little.” This too is true. Our
very well behaved first born child started to become a little unruly and acted
like he was much younger than he was – he became jealous of the “new arrival”.

Remember, #1 is going to need a little more “play-time” when #2 shows up.
It has been said, #2 is mama’s…….#1 is papa’s. She will be very busy with the
new born, so you dad, need to spend even more time with #1 – and #1 won’t let
you forget that.

3) “Nobody dose it all on their own.” Well, your having child #2. So by now you
Have already learned a LOT about parenting. A seconded child does indeed change
some things. One of the best “helps” that my wife & I found was a great book / class
called “Growing Kids God's Way” by Gary Ezzo and Anne Marie Ezzo.

There was a lot of info they taught I really didn’t care for, but there was also some
pure gold the Ezzo’s taught that I didn’t see others sharing. So I would suggest take
the stuff you like & leave the rest. The Ezzo’s taught my family some really good
foundational family basics that have truly helped my family through the years.
