Usually with dirt it's the delivery that costs the most.
Angelo's in Wixom has free fill dirt and $20/yard for topsoil.
Do you still have your trailer? I put a tarp inside mine and have them dump the dirt in it.
Then I tie the tarp at the top and drive home. Its only 2 mile or so for me. It can be much over 3.5 miles for you.
You may not need a tarp if you don't put a lot on the trailer.

They will also dump it in the bed of a truck but it maybe messy.

if I have to go to Angelos I will probably go a couple different times 1 yard in the bed of the truck in 1 yard in the trailer, I don't have the car trailer anymore I only have a4 by 8 utility trailer

Walled Lake?
If you were closer to Roseville I'd deliver it for free! Got about 100 yards I need out of my work yard.
Put an ad on Craigslist and say you'll take clean dirt... A lot of contractors have no place to take it and would drop it over for free

Sal, theoretically, do/would you deliver dirt to the Richmond area? 33 mile rd. and Gratiot, and what would the delivery fee be for a large load? I'm looking to build a backstop for shooting on the in-laws property(20 acres) and will be looking for dirt come summertime when we can get a truck back into the field. Feel free to PM me any info.

Thanks

If you have friend in Taylor with a trailer they have compost dirt for 5 buck a scoop (1 or 2 yard scoop). Shovel it your self and it's free. And the stuff is better then top soil
