Definitely hold out for a deal on a FI one. My buddy had one, very nice quad. I had a raptor 700, we must have raced 500 times and the bikes are DEAD even stock vs stock in a straight line. The 450R's handle fucking awesome too. I don't ever remember him having a single problem with it either. I'd expect to pay 3500-4000 for a nice one.

It was between the 700r and the 450r. Fuel injection is a must for me and from what I understand the suspension is pretty BA on the 450. Ive ridden raptors and they're quick but kinda heavy and rough over whooped terrain. Just waiting for the buyer of my gsxr to "iron out details" with his credit union so he can give me the cash then ill be making some calls.

Just curious why was the motor rebuilt? Also is it built to factory spec? After market exhaust? Extra wheels and tires included or other accessories?

i yes only reason i need gone, bought a badass mustang today to make me even more broke when i close on my home in a few weeks :)

after buyin my 09 kfx 450, i dont think i will ever go back to carbed, my two bikes before that were carbed, one being a a big bore 686 raptor, and i fought the jetting on that thing for what seemed like forever. sold it and picked up my kawi and i LOVE it. fuel injection is definitely the way to go for someone who rides like me (trails, long rides on the ice, etc)

that said, id buy jp's quad if i was in the market. IMO dont wait a few weeks, get it while he still has it. just my .02

Ive always owned FI sport bikes and rejetting is one of the main reasons I dont want a carbed atv. Im looking at 2 atvs so im going to wait and see. Shooting for next week/weekend.

Rejetting a carbed quad with 1 carb vs jetting a multi carbed sport bike is a whole diff ballgame. The YFZ carb is easy to tune IMO, dont let that scare you away from one.

I agree. But whats easier? Remapping a power commander or rejetting carbs? We know the answer lol. Call me a sissy but I dont like gas on my hands if I can help it

VERY good point. slideways can jet his quad on the side of a trail in about 2 minutes. (ive seen him do it lmao)

the raptor i had was a very different game. had to tear the fucker down to the frame to jet it.

Once you get it Jetted in the first time you should never have to jet it again unless you make engine changes. And they make these things called rubber gloves, you should try them out sometime

Yeah, I know the Raptors are alot more of a pain in the ass because of the dual carbs, and they are not quite as easy to access.
