Looking for a value of a 73 Torino wagon low miles (PICS ADDED)

My parents neighbor has a 73 Torino wagon with 38k miles, 351 2v that he is talking about selling. Original paint and interior. Car is brown with brown interior, radio and luggage rack delete car but does have a/c. Car looks extremely clean

Does se anyone know what the value of one would be roughly. He's not sure on a number yet but i don't want to get screwed if I make him an offer

Man, wagons are getting hot now. They are one of the only old cars left that are not ridiculously expensive. If it's very clean with that low mileage I would think it would fetch at least $5,000.

Neighbor just told my dad that he wants 10k for it. It is a nice car and orig owner but might be a little high. I am sure he has done attachment to it

Does it have to be a Ford? I've got a 73 Chrysler Town and Country, Western car, no rust, 440, loaded, 79k, original paint. It's going on the market in a couple weeks probably. Still gotta go through the AC & a couple other things. Runs & drives great. It has metalflake on it though...

10k hes nuts,

How much drag-ula

I don't know. I saw a 74 Plymouth suburban wagon on eBay, it got up to 8600 & didn't meet the reserve, same color combo as mine. Mine's in about the same shape with more options, but I don't think it's worth 8600. When it's ready to sell I'd like to see 7-7500. Who knows, I'm putting it eBay first to see what happens

I work hard at keeping up on car market prices,
and I still can't keep up to date. Prices are have
been crazier in the last few years than ever in my
lifetime.

Got any pics of it? Would potentially be interested in it if I can convince my wife brown is cool and not ugly. :icon_bigg

I always believe the best reference is previously sold similar models. It's too easy to shill bid and have a no sale, it's just not a good indicator of value. Don't get me wrong, I'd like to see you get everything you want out of it and who knows, maybe I'm the one who's off on value, (for your sake hopefully I am) but I would be surprised at any sale remotely near $10,000. $5,000 sure.

People can ask the world for them, but what have comparable vehicles sold for?

Been in the market for a wagon for the past few months. They take FOREVER to sell unless they are priced at a realistic value. A lot of people seem to be asking 3-4k more than they are worth IMO. But sellers can ask whatever they want.

I missed out on a '66 Fairlane wagon with the higher hp "z" code 390 that was supposed to be a California car that had a nice looking repaint and fully redone interior. He had it listed it $9,900 obo. Even that one took at least 3-4 weeks to sell at that price. If I had my car sold when that was available, I would've had it in my driveway the next day.
