Look what I bought Saturday((HELP))

rich doesn't =safe

x2 just because its rich doesnt mean you can throw 40* of timming at it or rev it to the moon and back. just means you are LESS likely to burn something. wasnt this thing supposed to have stainless valves? clean up one and see

3500 RPM for more than a few miles on a fresh engine is rough. Maybe he should have pulled the covers and checked lash again. Everything from here on out is heresay. I wasn't there so I don't know. Also on a reverse pattern nuetral is up from first some people have a tendency to go there for second gear...............just saying

Ding Ding....

From the start of my black camaros built motor i had a 4.56 gear with a th-400 3 speed, at 60 mph i was at 3000 rpms and was always hitting 70 mph on the freeway from mound to novi constantly..fresh build until i sold it..i've over revved it tons of times in the burn out box, sold the car running 10.7's on pump gas, street raced it over 200 times.... Maybe he should've stuck with a Chevy. :gr_confus:gr_confus

4.56 with 28's should be 3850 or so with out Tc slip factored in at 70. 3500 with 4.11
26's =around 4100 @ 70 , 3700 w4.11's

Thats pure ignorance to say putting a chevy in it will solve the problem. Yes, I did lean on it a couple times ....

He never talked bad or down upon you saying Chevy has a better motor. He stated since your such a bad ass builder and this problem happened to a fresh motor why not try a Chevy? The only time pistons in my chevy are bad is when i put too much nitrous or boost.

i dont see anything in his post to suggest he was saying you dont know what you are talking about, but maybe i missed something :gr_confus an if he didnt take it past 4k rpm's then there is no way it should have floated if the seat psi was 135. now if a lock came loose and fell off then that would explain the droped valve, but i still dont understand how a "fresh" engine could encounter such a problem at that low of an rpm.:headscrat

Sounds about right, never had a speedo just a guide driving next to me telling me their speed. I had 28's usually and i've driven very far on those 28's and i was never late.

Who said its cuz it was fresh and he drove it on the freeway is bullshit and your a tard.

I've built so many engines and blasted them to over 8k right after the cam break in with no problems. I ran engines on dynos that were brand fucking new 460 ford crate engines and rapped them to 6500 and let them sit there for two days without shutting them off. RPM is not a killer if the shit was built right.

The ways Scott, Roushy, and roushy lil brother all right off the bat jumped into defending themselves and names makes me think somethings fishy.

Who knows how hard he revved it on the freeway or if the motor was fresh. I know I wouldn't run my motor at that high RPM for a long time but that's me. I don't have to defend anything. I sold the car AS-IS after having it for 2 weeks and driving it twice. I passed on the info that I was given I have no idea what was true or false. Kinda strange that it blew up just sitting in his driveway Sunday and he waited till Wednesday to post Oh well. I do appreciate your worthless opinion and name calling.

Hey Dickhead < your the only one doing the name calling here buddy.

You said the motor was fresh and now your saying who knows if it was? Did you change it or somthing?>

I know I wouldn't run my motor at that high RPM for a long time but that's me.

Thats your opinion but from my EXPERIENCE it doesn't matter it won't hurt the motor unless there ways a tight valve guide to start with or a wrong spring height that was casuing some bind, maybe that was the noise you heard.

I don't have to defend anything.

Then why did you right off the bat try to clear your name?

I sold the car AS-IS after having it for 2 weeks and driving it twice.

You said before you drove it three times?

I passed on the info that I was given I have no idea what was true or false. Kinda strange that it blew up just sitting in his driveway Sunday and he waited till Wednesday to post Oh well.

Some people have a life other than the intenet. Maybe he waited till he had it apart for pictures like most normal people.

I do appreciate your worthless opinion and name calling.

Where did I call names? Your the one all pissy here calling me a dickhead?>[/quote]

hmmm...

hmmm...

You said the person who said that was a tard and that person was me. I drove it twice and the third time was when I took Mike out for a couple passes down the road by my parent's house which makes a total of 3 times. I'm done here. Thanks

Update Picture's

The first picture is what I found on top of the piston. The other three picture's is what came out of the head.

I'm not saying they arent. I'm more curious bout them then anything..

I'm curious who would even bother to take the time to write a CNC program for e7 heads.

They might be ported but cnc'd i highly doubt, but pictures will tell the tale as cnc and porting looks WAY different.

pics already told the tale of them misterious 2.02/1/60 valves shrinking?

x2 i have 2.02/1.8's in my dooec heads and they BARELY fit. those looked like stockers to me

That had to of taken some extreme work to make a 2.02 valve fit in the do0e head. I had a 1.94/1.60 in a set once and it was TIGHT!
