Look like lightning damage?

So the trunk of this tree on this one side used to be green and have moss on it and shit... Well, last night we had lightning come thru the area and shake the shit out of the house, and today heres what I saw..

That one spot is all black and white, and that branch overnight decided to start to lose all its bark??

doubtful, usually it looks like popcorn because the lightning boils the water in the tree
