rich mccarren is a bad guy to do buisiness with! i gave this guy 800.00 bucks as down payment to put a cage in my car on 9-2-08 even though he did not have my car yet. then on 9-22-08 he finally got my car in the shop and i gave him another 600.00. he said he normally takes half the money for a job up front and then collect the rest upon completion. he said he would have it done in a week. 1,2,3 weeks go by and nothings done to my car, but its cool because im in no rush. so i got by his shop on 10-15-08 to check on the status of my car, while im there i hear him telling a guy about a rolling chassis for sale and he desribes it to the guy, the guy says i'd like to see it and i said me to. the car belongs to 1 of rich's friends and the guy needed to sell the car. so rich takes us to the car and i like what i see, so rich calls the guy and puts me on the phone with him and we talk a little. so we drive back to rich's shop and i tell him i want to buy his friends car, but in order for me to come up with the cash i will have to take my car back home and he would have to give me my money back. rich says its cool that it would be no problem. he said he wanted to see me with i good car vs the one i had and he said it would help his friend out at the same time. how ever im looking at his facial expressions and he doesnt seem too happy so i ask him a total of 3 more times if he is sure he wants to do this, he says yes. he said he bought the tubing but he could use on another car. so im like great this guy is really a nice guy. so rich tells me to go get my trailer and take my car home. i said i'd rather not just in case the guy changes his mind or something, he no take it home because he's not working on it and its in the way. so i take the car home. rich tells me he will have my 1300.00 tomarrow which would be 10-16-08. he charged me 100.00 because he had his worker cut two bars out of my car that were still in the car. i said that was fine because i was just happy to be able to get this new chassis. even though this is pretty long im gonna shorten it a little. so basiclly iwas suppose to get my money back on 10-16-08 and it is now 3-05-09 and he still hasnt paid me. ive been up there a 1000 times and he says tomarrow or next week. after many text messages and phone calls to him, he just refuses to pay me my money back. i just dont understand it. he did not earn this money, so why does he fell he should keep it. ive watched at least 15 cars come and go and with the high prices he charges i know should be able to pay me. i told him my wife wants to take him to court, he said do what i got to do. he then said even if he looses the case he still didnt have to pay me because nothing is in his name. so ask your self guys, is this some one i want to deal with and have work on my race car. ive since heard very many stories about rich, which none i will comment on because its hear say. all i know is what the guy is doing to me, its not right and i dont appreciate it one bit. thx for letting me vent. if any one has any suggestions im all ears!!! thx
