Livernois Tuned 2010 Taurus SHO vs. 2011 Mustang GT Video

Earlier today, I raced a Shaun's 2011 Mustang GT with our 2010 SHO.
This race was on a closed road. ;) I'm going to try to make it to the track tomorrow.

Both cars have less than 500 miles. The Mustang is a 6-Speed manual with road race suspension and 19" wheels. The SHO is obviously an auto, lowered, on the stock 20's.

:hmm: what license plate frame came on the SHO when you picked it up? I'm gonna guess the Krug like always? :lol:
 
It looks like the AWD definitely helped. I don't think there is any shame in the GT's performance, having a tuned twin turbo move with it. That SHO should be high 12s, no? There was a Livernois tuned SHO at Milan when I was there a few weeks ago running low 13s, but he said it was still getting sorted out...and I know they already had one in the 12s.....

Why isn't the eco boost in the mustang? Or is it going to be? How many "hot" engine platforms is Ford going to have :lol: 3.5 tt, 5.0, 6.2.....

it wont fit between the fenders
 
have they done any Flex's with the ecoboost?? I hate to admint I would buy one just becasue ecoboost is awsome.
 
Cool vid! Both nice cars for sure. Is that the G8 that you hear so clearly in the last race? It sounds sick!

Thats the perfect spot to test your cars. And go fishing lol... You don't want to get cought do either of them Ha ha.:gr_jest:
 
Those tiny little turbos blow for anything above 4 grand. I drove a stock sho and it was cool for the first 60 feet then it feels like an n/a 3.7. Im sure the tune livened it up quite a bit though. When are you going to start throwing some bigger turbo(s) on these things?
