Today, we finished a 2008 Z06 that previously had our stage 2 Cam package.

This package consists of:

Livernois Motorsports Stage 2 Camshaft
Kooks Headers
Kooks X-Pipe
Factory Catback w/ Mild to Wild Controller
Halltech CAI
Livernois Motorsports Dyno Tune

With this package, it made 530 RWHP/ 485 RWHP

On M/T Radials, it went a 1.597 60' and a best ET of 10.56@132 mph

The customer wanted to do some upgrades and we have been doing some engine dyno work with an LS7 and been pleased with the results.

We made the following changes:

Livernois Motorsports CNC LS7 Cylinder Heads
Livernois Motorsports Stage 3 LS7 Camshaft
FAST 102mm Intake Manifold.

The car made 615 RWHP with the factory manifold in place and 630 RWHP / 555 RWTQ with the FAST.

The dyno sheet below shows the stock baseline vs. the stage 2 cam package vs. the stage 3 head/cam package

Here's is a video of it idling and on the dyno

WOW thats sweet ..........

What do the heads flow after you cnc them ? stock valves ?
Did you mill the heads ?
What is the specs on the stage 3 camshaft ?
How much more hp/tq do you think it would make with Carries (ETP) carbed cnc`d intake and a carb/dominator ?

The heads probably aren't milled, maybe just a clean up. Especially with that cam. I don't think you'd be looking at much more power the FAST 102MM is a big bitch. A larger cam and spinning it higher would let the carbed intake shine. Though that setup wouldn't exactly be the smartest choice if the vehicle didn't come with the engine from the factory. LS7 is an expensive setup and you can literally build a FI or solid roller 400+ CI LQ based motor for the same amount if your thinking about it for a swap.

I`m thinking that with Carries cnc`d carb intake with a dominator is a bigger bitch and good for another 30-40 hp ?? At the proving grounds the guys took a GMPP carb intake off a LS7 motor and put Carries cnc`d carb intake on and with no other changes it made 46hp more so it does work..........I would rather have a LS7 base motor over a LQ based motor anyday.............been there done that and i love it....Now i need Carries intake but dam that thing is pricey.

You have a PM.

You have an LS7 in that mustang?

It's something....no stock cube and junk built shit revs as fast as that car does. He's definitly doing something right. Can't say I'd spend the big money for all that, much cheaper to make power with FI. If I remember right he shaved the casting numbers off his heads and it says "HI".

Too many secrets around here, lol

I'm going back to ls1tech.

I already searched his username on LS1tech a few weeks ago and couldn't find anything. It makes sense now why it revs so fast and clean. Definitly doesn't sound like an LS1 or LS2. It has a more high pitched exotic sound. Always made me go ...:headscrat.

HAHA you guys are funny.........ya its a LS7 why wanna run it motor to motor hehe.......Well lets see i got the stock LS7 crank and rods for free ........i got the new bare cnc LS7 heads for $300..I got the new valves for free .... I got the block for $800 ....ok i`ll stop ...see why i built the LS7 ?
