Livernois is currently working on two GTM builds.

One car is being built with an LS7 and the other has a head/cam LS1.

Needless to say, with the finished product weighing roughly 2,450 lbs. and these engine combinations, the power to weight ratio should be pretty good!

The cars were shipped basically as a box of parts containing the following parts. We are doing the entire build, paint and body work, and tuning.

Composite body
Tubular steel chassis
Aluminum cockpit/interior panels
Hinged and lined hood, doors, and rear hatch
Manual rack and pinion steering rack with U-joints
Adjustable tie rod end kit
Front and rear KONI rebound adjustable coil-over shocks w/springs
Rear axle shafts
DOT rear hatch glass
DOT front windshield
Lexan interior rear window
DOT side windows, glass
Composite headlight buckets
DOT projector beam headlights
DOT front turn signals
DOT rear taillights
DOT rear turn signals and backup lights
Pre-formed lexan headlight lens covers
Pre-formed lexan side quarter windows
Accessory relocation brackets
Sport seats
Composite engine cover
Complete dash assembly
Autometer gauge set
Heating and cooling dash vents
Clutch and brake pedal assembly
Triple master cylinders
Brake lines and fittings
Rear diffuser

Rick damn man this is exaclty what im doing when i get my settlement...im gonna build it myself though..havent decided on LS7 or LSA/9...either way itll MOVEE out
what are you guys charging for the build..pm me if you dont want to post it..
the kit from factory five is 20k..plus another 20 or so in C-5 parts...i read on the factory five site that they built one for less then 45k..it was just a stock C-5 (brakes engine suspension)...but for another 15 or so, you got some $$$ for big brakes, more engine...the suspension is already KONI coil overs..so there isnt that much room for improvment there....
how long have you guys been working on it?....from what ive read from other builders of these cars, they have like 300 hours into it

Honestly, I'm not sure what the cost of the build is. All of the labor for the project is being done at Livernois Vehicle Development.

I've heard of people having well over $100k into building them.

subaru sti trans?

MystryGuy is correct, it's a G50 from a Porsche 911.

My next build will be one of these! I've been eying them for awhile but was hesitant with such a sweet looking car not having a lot of people building them. I figured they knew something I didn't.

ohhh without a doubt..i was just pointing out that one can be built for roughly 40-45..and the amount of preformance you get is rediculous...sure you can dump a LS9 or even a TTLSX in there..spend another 20k on some carbon ceramics...and there isnt any factory car on the planet that will be able to touch you..

yea its a G50..there are pretty tough, but there only a 5 speed, there well over 3 grand for a good used one..didnt get as far as pricing a new unit..

Pretty sick and can't wait to see one finish, let alone hear about the final numbers and performance.

ill get you some numbers from thier site..gimmie a few

The GTM is faster 0-60 mph than a Ferrari Enzo, a Porsche GT, a Saleen Twin Turbo S7, a Ford GT, and a Lamborghini Mucielago! The GTM even beats out a Champ car to 60 mph!
0-60 in 3.0 seconds!
0-100 in 6.6 seconds!
¼ mile in 11.0 seconds @ 132 mph!

The GTM stops and turns just as fiercely or moreso than the rest of the Supercar gang. With stock Corvette brakes, the GTM slows to a stop from 70 mph in only 166 feet, outbraking the mighty $157,000 Ford GT. That was STOCK Corvette brakes, not $30,000 carbon/ceramic.

Want roadholding? The GTM turns faster than it falls thru the air. Car and Driver measured a phenomenal 1.05 lateral G on street DOT tires. To put that in context, the Ferrari Enzo is the only car that matches it!

How much does it cost to build a GTM?

The price of the kit is not as important as the price of the completed vehicle. Our original target was that a guy should be able to build the GTM for less than $30,000. We think that is still achievable if a donor C5 is procured for less than current market value of $8,000-$10,000, and the customer can do his/her own paintwork… but realistically we estimate that most folks will spend between $35,000 and $45,000 to complete the car including Chevrolet parts, wheels/tires, paint and the Porsche transaxle.
