Lions 2023-2024 thread

People that thought they were going to win super bowl this year are delusional. Be happy they got this far.

Kicking field goals sure would’ve helped here

I was thinking the same thing! Live by the crazy coach, die by the crazy coach. Still an awesome season, pretty happy overall.

I mean, I am bummed out, be we were in the NFC championship game until one minute left. It was pretty awesome!

Well that stung a bit, but in my opinion they still got further than expected for where they are at. Excellent young core of players, they need some help on secondary.

Really looking forward to next season!

Some pretty crucial dropped passes and missed tackles......it all adds up. I am not going to say I agree with the 4th and go plays, but I wouldn't put this all on that. Either way it's a great young team and I'm excited to see what changes they make for next season.

Listening to some of these on air personalities having conversations about whether or not Dan Campbell should be fired or not just sows how completely ignorant most of these "analysts" really are.

I don't disagree with you. You can't put the whole game on those calls. But when the San Fran guys are saying to the media "I can't believe they didn't try for the field goals" it makes me wonder. Not going for a field goal is not the same as a dropped pass or a missed tackle too. People don't catch 100%, they don't tackle 100%, and - here is the thing - they DO miss 100% of the field goals they don't try.

I am not trying to hammer on Campbell. I mean, in three years he got us here. And unlike the time we played the Redskins and everyone knew we didn't have a chance, we were in this game until the end. That was a great run, and I hope we get another one next season.

On a completely unrelated note - Detroit News is reporting that Ben Johnson is coming back for another season! Holy Crap! That bodes well for next year! https://www.detroitnews.com/story/s...ted-teams-hes-returning-to-lions/72408955007/

The difference between lion's and 49ers fans this past weekend.

The loss stings because it was a winnable game. That aside, they played better and went further than expected and have given everyone something to finally be excited about. Hopefully they have the same success next season.

Hell it was more than winnable, they were on the way to blowing them out!

Glad to see the coordinators are coming back.
