It's actually not for me, it's for a friend. He has an '01. Cheaper, the better. I don't think that he would be interested in a warranty. As long as it runs, or would run, reliably, that's all he wants.

Just get the Navigator Block. It is NVH. The Lightning wasn't.

The guy is looking for something simple that he can throw in to make his truck runnable again, thats all. Nothing fancy.

i have my stock shortblock that i might sell. it had only 11,782 miles on it when i bought a built shortblock. never seen snow or salt.

its a 2000 block which had the stronger rods than the 01 and up. i would even do the swap for the right price.
