Lift off hood installation

I bought a fiberglass hood last night and I'm going to be installing it on my car but I've never installed a lift off hood is there any support that is usally ran side to side? Or just half turns all the way around? Any info advice pictures would be great oh it's a 5inch for 79-82 mustang thanks guys.
 
Depends on who's hood/how rigid the hood is to begin with. If it's one of the light weight flimsy hoods, then more dzus fastners will be needed. I've also seen some that are rigid enough to get away with only pinning the four corners. Do a search, i think Holcom or Wolfe has premade rails that you rivit on teh fenders that provide support as well as the dzus clips. They also sell the front rail premade for some models for two zus fastners at the front.

PM 1979 hatchback, He has a 79 with a lift off hood. He may be able to give you some Ideas.
 
I've talked with 1979hatchback I'm pretty sure I've figured out the route I'm going with it but after pushing the car out of the garage and sitting in it for the first time with the hood just sitting on it I relized it's way to much for a street car so I'm looking for a shorter one before I start drilling the holes to mount it
