LG G5 is choppy with new 300's Uconnect

My LG G5 played flawlessly in my 2016 Charger as well as my Audi and Z28 all via bluetooth.

I got a 2017 300S and the bluetooth is very choppy. I did a factory reset and it still didn't fix the issue.

Anybody else have an issue? Not sure if it's phone or uconnect.

Is there a software update for Uconnect? You might want to start there. Another option might be using Android Auto instead. Download the app from Google Play, plug in your phone via USB, and have Google Maps, a music app, etc all on your car's display.

How do i get to it from uconnect?

If it does have Android Auto, it should be somewhere in the settings on the head unit.

you should see the Android Play shortcut, maybe you need to download it from the store? :dontknow:

Just checked my 2017 Ram, and no Android. Fucking bullshit.

"For the 2017 model year, 8.4 Uconnect with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration is only available on the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger models, and cannot be upgraded with prior generation Uconnect systems."

says im up to date. friends galaxy played fine.

Gotta be something with the Bluetooth stack. Have you tried flashing a different ROM? Lineage OS is pretty damn nice. I've been running it awhile and find it very stable.

No I haven't. It's the factory OS. Is there a way I can change my bluetooth without flashing?

Probably not. Android isn't updated in the same manner as a desktop operating system that addresses device driver issues and security updates. Security updates and hardware drivers are baked in, and are only installed when updating the operating system. Have you tried Bluetooth connectivity to any other devices or vehicles to further isolate the issue?

like i said last time i used this in my charger (march) it was fine. Worked fine in my audi the day i picked up my 300.

The issue is between this phone and the 300. Friends galaxy phone worked fine so I don't think it's the uconnect. It's an odd issue for sure. It seems to be just this particular phone with this particular uconnect.

It has done it since the day i got in the car and I even did a factory reset the other day and the problem is still there.
