Rifles are not required to be registered in Michigan. The dude didn't do anything wrong, he was a little stand offish. I have open carried, but not near a school or anything like that.
I was hoping the idiot would of got the shit beat out of him. There's a way to go about these things legally and not being a dick head to the cops. The cops don't know who this guy is, give him your name and walk on.
You can OPEN CARRY in a school is is not against the law
If I were walking my daughter to school and anyone not wearing a uniform (military or police) walked past me with a assault rifle I would be instantly threatened... I understand its your constitutional right to carry a weapon. Do I have the right to stuff someone's head clear up there ass, disarm them and stick them in a trash can for making me feel uncomftebal and threatend while walking with my child? Atleast if someone in uniform holsters a weapon I know for a fact they have been trained with that weapon and respect the capability of the weapon. For all I know this guy could be a fucktard that recieved his gun handling skills with a Xbox controller and cod black opps and has no concept of the damage he could actually inflict. In retrospect John Wayne would probably bitch slap this guy and take his firearm away. This isn't Israel where everyone is trained in the military to handle a weapon. US citizens have a hard time driving in traffic, escalators are a challenging obstacle for some people to figure out. Yet these same people are entitled to carry a assault rifle and walk past my daughter on the street? I have guns, I carry a firearm. I have my cpl. I feel as if everyone should have some form of training and must pass some sort of a test before they can purchase or carry a weapon. Just my .02
Trained cops shot 50+ times into a wrong vehicle containing two asian women when they were looking for a big black guy. I'm not sure "training" should make you feel safe. By the numbers, cops are far more likely to go John Wayne and start shooting while the average citizen is likely to take greater caution because the consequences for them is real (unlike the cops that can shoot innocents and have no repercussions). If I were walking my daughter to school and anyone not wearing a uniform (military or police) walked past me with a assault rifle I would be instantly threatened... This isn't Nazi Germany.. Simply having a gun visible does not mean that you have done something wrong.
This isn't Nazi Germany.. He didn't commit any crimes and was not doing anything wrong or suspicious with the gun. Simply having a gun visible does not mean that you have done something wrong.
Yeah sure, these people are just going for a walk down the street too.......

I normally hate cops, and hate police brutality, but I would have LOVED to see them beat the shit out of this guy bad enough that he gets a few weeks in the hospital to think about the stupidity of his actions.
Are they supposed to ignore a guy near a school with a weapon in plain site for no reason?
I wish common sense could trump everything else.
