Let's walk with an assault rifle near a school and see what happens

Yes. They guy was a dickhead about it..... but, he did not do anything illegal. The cops should know the law not be taught by citizens.

And say that guy ended up shooting people at that school. People would complain that nobody stopped him.

Trained cops shot 50+ times into a wrong vehicle containing two asian women when they were looking for a big black guy. I'm not sure "training" should make you feel safe. By the numbers, cops are far more likely to go John Wayne and start shooting while the average citizen is likely to take greater caution because the consequences for them is real (unlike the cops that can shoot innocents and have no repercussions).
next time you're walking down the street with a relative or anyone you're protective over. How confident would you feel if this kid was walking next to you carrying a AR-15? (after all, it's legal) Ill take my chances with trained police officers and people that have obtained a license to carry a weapon. You stick to reading the internet and "numbers" I'll continue to use common sense and trusting the that police officers are trained correctly.

I don't think anyone will change your mind on this subject.

You trust people an awful lot just because of some 8hr class? I hear what your saying, but I've met a lot of dumb CPL holders too.. As long as someone isn't pointing at me or acting out.. I usually don't bat an eye.. I have been around a few people open carrying that I did not know and were not police officers. Usually if you are open carrying, you know a little bit about guns/gun laws.. or else you would probably not be aware that it is legal to do so. Id have to say the guys conduct wasn't the best, he could have answered the questions a little less douchey.

I understand what you're saying. I'm a firearm enthusiast. I guess i'm trying to say I wish it were a little more difficult for people to obtain guns. Not everyone that buys a firearm started with a red ryder when they were six like most enthusiast. Like i said before, i know plenty of people that buy ar's simply because that's the gun they played battle field with. They think it's "cool". But they have no idea what that weapon is actually capable of. All they have to do is walk down to their local sporting goods store, Endure a vague background check, and psyc evaluation (check the box that says they're not crazy) and buy a "cool" weapon. Load it and walk down the street. Then when a police officer stops and asks them wtf they're doing they respond in a rude disrespectful fashion- because they watched a youtube video of another asshole doing the same thing and the thought it was funny. Now they want to be cute and funny also. That doesn't concern you at all? At Least if you went to a 8 hour cpl class or hunters safety when you were 12 someone explained to you what guns actually are and that they're not toys.

You don't want people to be rude and disrespectful....uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

You don't want a loser basement gamer buying a gun because he wasn't raised with one?

You ever see a rude disrespectful driver? Or an idiot with a giant offshore boat?

People, smart, dumb, cute... Are all allowed to do whatever the fuck they want. I'm glad a gamer nut picks up a real gun. It's called growing the fuck up. I work with people like this.. I'd rather they grow up myself. They want to "walk the line" trying to be a youtube star...have at it. Maybe they get gunned down...maybe not. Maybe we'll get to a point where you can open carry at McDonalds without a soccer mom flipping out and calling 911.
