"Two weekends ago, the city sponsored a car show. The events included LEGAL STREET RACING! They had a start light and all.

These sample vids were shot by Limpy from dfwss.org. The Texas guys from there really put on a show for them Okies. The Oklahoma guys brought out some badass cars themselves. Check it out.

There are higher res clips over at dfwss and Limpy is thinking about making a dvd of the entire event.

The Fire Marshall invited the Texas guys back for next year. You may recognize some of these cars. "

They do the exact same thing every year up in Hillman, MI. the weekend of July 4. The race is always on sunday. They do street legal, 1/8mile racing right on the city streets. Thousands of people show up as spectators, too. A friend of mine goes up there every year.

Just go on line and google Hillman, Mi and check out the "Mill River Days 2008" and you'll see the info.
