Leave your trailer hitch on your truck???

Time to weld up a heavy walled "something" that will not tow
a trailer, and is strategically box around my license plate, so it's visible...and leave that in...Lol

Just another BS law to harass the public about and collect more revenue, that won't go to fixing anything!

Must be an issue with license plate readers not being able to generate revenue.

I leave my Beaver Step in most of the time.

Looks like this (without the tow strap hanging on it).

Does not obstruct the plate good to go.

I don't see anything trailer hitch related.... can you quote or have a better link?

Many years back I was driving and stopped for an ambulance when a guy two cars behind me rear ended a suburban behind me at a stop light and sandwiched the suburban in the middle. I had a towing hitch on the rear of my car and it just devastated the front end of his suburban. Transmission fluid, freon, and coolant were pouring out. I had absolutely no damage to the rear of my Durango except the little trailer electrical flap ($5). I knew that I might get a ticket for the hitch being installed but the two other people were going to settle it without the police and I left without an issue. I think if the police were to show up then I would have received a ticket for the hitch.

So, you have to ask, why the fuck do they need to clarify anything about plate visibility?...

Your legislators at "work"...

The shank is rusted into place on my "new" truck, luckily I got a hook-up on a new ClassIV receiver hitch.
