Leave your trailer hitch on your truck???

oh well, if you use a ball on the bumper for towing, you are asking for trouble anyways

its always been illegal to drive with a ball mount in without a trailer

Not according to the court of appeals.

The Supreme Court JUST over ruled the court of appeals.

Dline. My hitch blocks my plate, and it's not a bumper ball.

Yeah, they haven't decided if it is illegal to obstruct the plate while towing a trailer...Now what? Also, can't mount the plate vertically like so many motorcycles and trailers do. Mine is mounted vertically on the trailer fender.....

grr

Are there very many vehicles with a receiver hitch that will block the plate when the ball is installed? I assumed, like Dline, that it would really only apply to a bumper with a ball bolted to it.

Nope, its a huge No-no for us to block a plate design wise,

another law...

Wonder if making it legal for LLE to ticket illegal handicap parking is possible. IE: Someone parks in a handicap only space and doesn't have proper authorization to do so and a cop see's/acts accordingly with a hefty fine.

It will be a money thing when they mandate it. Hopefully it doesnt happen. How much more can they ask for?

I leave my Beaver Step in most of the time.

Looks like this (without the tow strap hanging on it).
